Acoustic beam

Acoustic beam is an acoustic signal formed through the beamforming algorithm to obtain the desired signal in the desired direction and to eliminate the signal in the other direction.

glossary
AEC

Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) is a processing algorithm that uses the knowledge of audio output to monitor audio input and filter from it noises that echo back after some time delay.

glossary
AGC

Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is a control circuit, the purpose of which is to maintain a suitable signal amplitude at its output, despite variation of the signal amplitude at the input. It does automatic variable gain control to prevent excessive fluctuation of the signal amplitude at the input.

  • - If signal attenuation appears, increase the gain
  • - Reduce the gain to prevent a rapid increase in signal strength from being reflected in the output

appinfo.json

Applications are required to have a metadata file before they can be packaged. This metadata is stored in a file called appinfo.json. The file is used by webOS to determine information such as the app title, its icon and other information that is needed to launch and run the app. This file is located in an app's root directory and contains a single JSON object.

ASR

This is Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Engine provided by ThinQ.AI. ASR Engine takes the voice you speak as input and provides the ability to convert that voice to text. In a broad sense, it is also called STT (Speech To Text).
